Q: Which Technology Can Cut The Emissions Of SO2, NOx And CO2
And
Offer Net Carbon Reduction Through One Single Process?
A: CSNOx™ For Onshore
A brand new approach on global emission and scrubbing processes is finally
here with CSNOx™ technology. Using seawater or freshwater treated with this technology transforms existing emission and scrubbing systems into highly efficient installations. All current legislated environmental and emission regulations will be easily surpassed.
So what is CSNOx™ technology? In short, a true all-in-one system that effectively reduces green house gases (GHG) and pollutants like Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Particulate Matters (PM).
Conventional technologies offer mainly “piece meal” solutions for each pollutant and green house gas (GHG). As a result, the total cost for meeting all emission requirements and net carbon reduction can be very high. Some technologies even react with other pollutants or GHG due to their natural residual
effects. With CSNOx™ technology, there’s no need to rely on reagents like lime or caustic sodas, urea or ammonia. The overall operational and power consumption costs of consumables, storage, handling and logistics will be slashed. Costly and unhealthy operations are transformed into highly effective and safe operations. CSNOx™ technology also removes the long-term storage safety concerns like carbon capture and storage (CCS) that other abatement technologies for GHG (e.g. CO2) entail.

A: The CSNOx™ System For Onshore
CSNOx™ System increases the pH value and alkalinity of freshwater or seawater without chemicals.
Freshwater or seawater is first fed into the Ultra-Low Frequency Electrolysis System (ULFELS) to make
it alkaline and ready for scrubbing. (Seawater goes through an additional antifouling treatment before
the ULFELS tank to control microbial growth in the system.) The alkaline water is then pumped through
the exhaust stack to scrub the flue gas. (Please refer to Figure 1 for details.) CSNOx™ treated water is
highly reactive and effective in removing CO2, SO2 and NOx through absorption. The removed pollutants
are converted into the harmless substances found naturally in the water. After scrubbing, the scrubbed
water may pass through a solid-liquid separator to remove solid particles. The water recovered will then
undergo an integrated treatment to meet the discharge water standard. If the water supply is limited,
the scrubbed water can be further treated and recycled back to the scrubbing process, reducing the
amount used.

Benefits:
• Low cost for new emission control and scrubbing systems.
• Reduced cost for existing systems.
• Simplified or supplement total emission control and scrubbing system.
• Exceed existing environmental emission control standard.
• High health and safety operation standards.
• Less reliance on high consumables and power.
• No post treatment waste disposal and re-treatment issues.
• Proficient for certified emission reductions (CER) or carbon credit for better global climate control.
• Excellent Green initiatives from emission control.
• No potential harmful industrial discharge and low energy process.
Applications:
• Power stations and generators.
• Boiler and heating operations.
• Incinerators and waste management operations.
• Petroleum, oil and gas industries.
• Offshore operation and marine industries.
• Chemicals and general process industries.
• Other fossil burning operation and VOC emitting operations.
